Resources for Wind Band Conductors
This resource is designed with the public school and collegiate wind band conductor in mind. It provides a listing of wind band compositions, a bibliography of articles relating to analysis of wind band compositions, publications, music publishers, wind band recordings, professional organizations, the ABA/Ostwald Band Competition, and other wind band related resources currently available on the Internet.
An annotated list of selected literature for small and medium ensembles developed by Craig R. Miller, a doctoral student in instrumental conducting and, Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Missouri, Kansas City Conservatory of Music.
Sponsored by the University of North Dakota, this site features a number of sections including a number of analyses of works for concert band. Unfortunately, as of this writing, the site has not been updated or expanded since 1997.
The Young Band Repertoire Project (YBRP) is a continuing endeavor to document, evaluate, analyze, list, record, or provide information regarding repertoire for the young band (2nd & 3rd year players).
